About Me
I started my journey about 5 years ago in the spring of 2018, I was about two weeks from graduating high school with a full ride to college. I still had no idea with where I wanted to go with my life. But as of the upcoming Fall I was going to be attending my local community college for liberal arts.
My last days of high school were spent skipping class to go to the cosmetology class and hanging out with the girls in there. Then one day a barber popped in and was there to do a demo, so he asked me if I wanted to get my haircut for free. I said yes and then for the next hour I was being completely sold into making this my new career.
Fast forward through the summer, and I was about a week or two away from my start date of college and I got the final call from the admissions office declaring that I had to come in and pick up my ID to start class, and right then and there I told them I was dropping my classes to go to barber school. Now my nearest barber school was 50 miles away, so that meant I had to move. And I had no money. So for the next 4 months, I worked 3 jobs a week totaling 55 hours.
Remember that barber that I had met back in school? Well he lived halfway between me and the school, so the blessing that he was gave me the attic of his house to live in for free until I got my licensce
